Meeting People

Where you meet people depends largely on your personality, your own likes and dislikes, and similar.

For example, even though there are plenty of single people at bars (especially those establishments known as single’s bars), you may not feel comfortable in that environment. After all, if you don’t drink or enjoy a loud scene, you probably won’t find another mild-mannered person at a bar.

Or perhaps you are the type who enjoys a party, and haven’t any qualms about going out to a bar on a Friday night. In that case a church-sponsored singles event likely isn’t a good a choice for you, as you’ll find people disagreeing with your lifestyle.

This is all common sense of course. And yet it’s still worth mentioning that you should consider finding people in places that match your personality and interests. For example, you may meet people at hobby clubs, whether you enjoy bird watching, motorcycling, gardening, pottery, or going to the casino. When you meet someone like that, at least you know you have a common ground to talk about.
