Appreciation
Another important thing for you to do is show your appreciation for your partner. Indeed, one common complaint among married people in long relationships is that they don’t feel needed or appreciated any more. They feel invisible, as if they’re taken for granted. This quickly leads to an unhappy relationship, as the other person starts thinking about how they might be better off without you.
So to keep the love alive, never stop showing your appreciation. If you used to bring flowers when you first started dating, don’t stop now. Bring her flowers, chocolates, and other nice gifts that show her you’re thinking of her.
Of course you don’t have to spend money to show your appreciation. You can leave notes in your partner’s pocket for him or her to find during the day. You can call or email just to let him or her know you’re thinking about them.
